Guantanamo Detainees Given U.S. Rights?

From the Associated Press:

WASHINGTON – President-elect Obama's advisers are quietly crafting a proposal to ship dozens, if not hundreds, of imprisoned terrorism suspects to the United States to face criminal trials, a plan that would make good on his promise to close the Guantanamo Bay prison, but could require creation of a controversial new system of justice. OMG!!! I can't wait for this Charlie Foxtrot to happen. Does no one read the Geneva Conventions and Law of Land Warfare anymore? They are supposed to go before an international MILITARY tribunal during a time of war. Of course, if Obama decides we are not at war, then that equals the end of hostilities and the detainees are supposed to be released to their home countries. I'd rather them be sent away from the U.S.- not brought TO IT!!!
